A Great Place to Learn Kenpo - Kenpo Orphans Welcome!

Sacramento Kenpo Karate is a very warm and friendly school teaching the art of self-defense. It's a great place for women to feel safe and for men to smack the heck out of each other, if that's what they want. The men can feel safe too. :)

Sacramento Kenpo Karate - May

Okay! Where did April go? We are in the merry month of May.

We are still enjoying the company of John Tieman and his group. If you have not had a chance, please extend a good old, SKK welcome.

Happy Mother's day!

KENPO KNOWLEDGE 101

Point of Origin - The beginning, root, or source of any movement-the natural position or location of your body and natural weapon at the time action begins. [Encyclopedia of Kenpo, pg 95]

Recover – (1) To get well; (2) Another term used for the word "position", and meaning to return to your original starting position or point of origin. [Encyclopedia of Kenpo, pg 102]

SKK Monthly Update –

Once again we have seen a spurt of new students for our children class.  Orange belt Matthew has been given a purple strip to acknowledge his studies halfway through the purple belt curriculum.  We gave a yellow stripe to Katlyn, Bradley, David, Cesar, Alma, Julissa, and Jaylon for learning 3 techniques.  SKK would like to welcome Jakari, Javon, Kamryn, and Curtis to our children class.  To everyone involved I would like to extend our thanks for your patience and support.

It seems we are going to lose a few students in our adult class.  You will be missed.  We seem to be getting an influx of new teen students.  Please extend a warm welcome to Ciara, Alexis, and Jacob. I would also like to acknowledge our yellow belts Bryan, Ed, Leann, John, and Chris for their individual progress.  For those few adult students who show up early and help us with the children class, your help is very much appreciated.  Everyone keep up the awesome work. See you on the "mat".
