A Great Place to Learn Kenpo - Kenpo Orphans Welcome!

Sacramento Kenpo Karate is a very warm and friendly school teaching the art of self-defense. It's a great place for women to feel safe and for men to smack the heck out of each other, if that's what they want. The men can feel safe too. :)

Kenpo Karate

WoW! January is over already. Now we have Presidents day and Valentine's day to celebrate. Nothing on the horizon for seminars

KENPO 101 –
Check - To restrain, hinder, or repress an opponent from taking action. This is accomplished by pressing, pinning, or hugging an opponent usually at the joints so that it minimizes his leverage and nullifies his actions.
Gravitational Check - A form of contouring where parts of an arm or leg rests on a particular surface area on an opponent's body to prevent him from obtaining height and leverage. This restriction can detain or prevent an opponent from taking action that can be detrimental.

SKK Monthly Update –

Congratulations! To Tyler Miller for getting promoted to orange belt on January 20th. Keep up the good work Tyler. Watch out! James and Matthew are hot on his trail. Gianah and Joshua are working hard, keep up the effort guys. Yevgeny, Nick, Jessica, Naomi, Kaitlyn and Davis are getting close to yellow belt, keep at it guys, I am proud of you all.

Our adult class has been very awesome. We have a decent number of students who want to be there and train. It is always a pleasure and an honor to work with all of you. If you have not already introduced yourself to Joens and Mack, please do so. Both are black belts systems that have Kenpo as a part of their curriculum. Adult students are Bryan, Eugene, Gary, Michael, Jeff, Ronald, Morgan, Bryan (2), John, Chris, LeAnn, Ed, Kim, Mack, Joens, Richard, Aaron, Thomas, Greg and Jona.

Please note, if you have paid Cordova Recreation and Park District, bring in your receipt to confirm that they have you on their roster. Lately, they have been hit and miss on recording students who have paid.
